Easter sunrise with pelicans. If a pelican flies by, I have to point my camera at it. I’ve got dozens of pelican pics.
I shoot a LOT of birds, but rarely share the images. The upper image is a sandpiper; the lower one is a snowy egret. It’s entirely possible that I mis-identify a bird. Please feel free to correct me ;)
Kitesurfing on a VERY windy day. He was haulin’ ass!
Easter morning sunrise service. She’d brought a book to read, but mostly just watched the sunrise over the water.
February 3 on Porpoise Point. We were deeply grieving the loss of Piglet the day before.
(John, see the Piglet bird?)
Our first drive on the beach in the Pathfinder. The incoming tide was lapping at the tires & I was NOT comfortable about it. Still feels odd driving on the beach.
More of the Shands bridge on the St Johns River. The upper photo with the bridge in the distance was taken from the east pier that was the old bridge. The other was taken from the southwest bank.
Still working the archives. This is the Shands bridge on the St Johns river, shot from the west bank pier that’s part of the old Shands bridge. Taken last February before we’d been here a month. It was bitchin’ cold for Florida. ;)
Dutton Island Preserve. I need to visit here again soon. No way could I handle this in the summer with the humidity, bugs, snakes, gators, etc. Springtime would be excellent for the bird activity. I saw several large nests indicating eagles, ospreys and/or owls.
